Roctal

Practise/Recording Tube Combo Amplifier

Roctal Practise/Recording Tube Combo Amplifier
(Natural oil finish shown)
Here is a versatile amplifier that has been described as a "Real box of fun". Small enough to be out of the way, loud enough to be heard. Classy enough to stand out as unique, different enough to get others attention.

Roctal ("Rock" + "Octal" [for its power tube] = "Roctal") is a switchable two-channel amplifier that uses two military quality 5751 pre tubes and the time-tested 6V6GT output. One 5751 is used for the clean channel, the other switches in for hard driving Roctal sound. The Roctal OD channel also has frequency contouring, allowing a high cut/boost, depending on the shape of the "crunch" you're looking for. Roctal has an independent drive control for the OD stage, so you don't need to go deaf to have that crunch tone.

Roctal comes standard with an 8" Weber AlNiCo speaker that provides a warm, bright tone with surprising punch in the full-open back enclosure. True vintage instrument speakers optional pending availability. An external speaker jack switches out the combo speaker and allows you to plug in your choice of cab for your own tone. A manually switched headphone jack is provided for private practise. This also dummy-loads the amplifier for muting, even if headphones aren't plugged in.
